Hygge Birth and Baby doulas attend your delivery and provide you with continuous support in the hospital, at home or at the birth center. They provide comfort with pain-relief techniques; including breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, massage, and laboring positions. Our doulas support the whole family.
Evidence shows that families having continuous support, like doulas, during childbirth were:
More likely to have lower rate of inductions
Less likely to have negative feelings about the childbirth experience
Less likely to use pain medications
Likely to have shorter labors (by 40 minutes)
Smaller rate of cesarean sections
Babies are less likely to have a low APGAR score.
Hygge doula packages start at $240 for postpartum doulas and $1300 for birth doulas.
This package includes 2 prenatal consultations, support during labor and delivery and 1 postpartum home visit. Prenatal consultations provide an opportunity for you to build a relationship with your doula before your birth and for you to develop your birth goals and priorities for delivery. Postpartum home visits allow you the opportunity to discuss your birth experience and provide a touch point for any follow-up care or resources that may be beneficial to you and your family.
In addition to the Chase package, the Evan package includes photo journal of your birth, group birthing classes and customized lactation services. This package is ideal for the first time moms, families, or those wishing to additional support and education.
This is our all inclusive, Hygge treatment. This package is perfect for the mom and family who want a holistic experience. We design a package that fits your specific needs and desires by selecting the services that provide the most value to you and your family. In addition to the services offered in the Chase and Evan packages, you and your family will select 3 additional services from our wide variety of service offerings, including acupuncture, massage, placenta encapsulation and yoga classes, just to name a few...
